Formex Watch SA has its own philosophy: The accuracy of quartz movements, found in most watches produced on a worldwide scale since the 1970s, can hardly be improved. Mechanical movements, the true marvels of engineering that built the reputation of Swiss watches, can be improved only in minor details. Therefore Formex leverages its strengths in the functionality of its watches and is concentrating in developing a new, mechanically inspired ecological drive propulsion system matching at the same time the accuracy of quartz movements.

Formex Watch SA is the brain child of watch designer and CEO Hans Peter Grädel:

It was always my ambition to create a watch with a motor sports aura. It all started with the patented suspension system that simply belongs to all Formex 4SPEED watches. This was followed by a unique tachymeter hand that we developed in-house and implemented with motor sports in mind. Such features and superior engineering combined with sporty styling are what characterize our collections. I am sure that our timekeeping instruments are much more than trendy; they are literally ahead of their time.
